Sufian Ahmed

Sufian Ahmed was Ethiopia's finance minister for two decades and served as an economic adviser to the country's prime minister from 2015 to 2017. He is a member of the G-20's Eminent Persons Group on Global Financial Governance, as well as the advisory board for the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program. He is also a nonresident fellow at the Center for Global Development and a board member for the Centre for Disaster Protection. Sufian holds a master’s degree in Economic Development and Planning from Addis Ababa University.
