AIIB has sparked much discussion about its potential as a multilateral financing institution and its role in addressing Asia's infrastructure gap, but "the focus lately has been more on who will join and who will not than on what the AIIB will do," says Véronique Salze-Lozac'h, senior director of economic development and chief economist at The Asia Foundation.
