Emma Pomfret is the press officer for East, Central and South Africa at ChristianAid. She was a journalist at the Press Association for six years and spent 18 months working in Malawi with a children's HIV charity.

For four years, Emma Smith covered careers and recruitment, among other topics, for Devex. She now freelances for Devex and has a special interest in mental health, immigration, and sexual and reproductive health. She holds a degree in journalism from Glasgow Caledonian University and a master’s in media and international conflict.

Emma Stibi

Emma Stibi works with the Devex Analytics team based in Copenhagen, where she assists in curation, analysis, and dissemination of development data. She is currently finishing her bachelor’s degree in development studies at Lund University and has also studied in the U.S. and Korea. Her interests include gender equality and disaster risk management.

Emma  McClarkin OBE

Emma McClarkin OBE

Emma McClarkin has been the CEO of the British Beer and Pub Association since 2019 and was awarded an Order of the British Empire, or OBE, for her exceptional services to the hospitality industry. Before joining BBPA, she served as a member of the European Parliament for the East Midlands for 10 years. She has also held posts including chair of the Commonwealth Forum and director of global policy for the Sports Integrity Global Alliance and is currently chair of the World Brewing Alliance, vice chair of the Tourism Alliance Board, and director of the Ivors Academy.

Emmanuel Jimenez

Emmanuel Jimenez is an economist who is currently a nonresident senior research fellow at 3ie. Most recently, Jimenez stepped down as 3ie’s executive director in January 2020 after five years in the role. Prior to this, he spent several years at the World Bank Group, where he provided technical expertise and strategic leadership in a number of research and operational positions, including as director of the bank’s operational program in human development in its Asia regions from 2000-2012 and as director of public sector evaluations from 2012-2014.

Emmanuel Letouzé

Emmanuel Letouzé is the director and co-founder of Data-Pop Alliance, a global coalition on big data and development created in 2014 by the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, MIT Media Lab and Overseas Development Institute, joined by the Flowminder Foundation in 2016. He is a visiting scholar at MIT Media Lab and the author of U.N. Global Pulse's White Paper "Big Data for Development" (2012) where he worked as senior development economist. He previously worked as an economist for U.N. Development Program in New York and in Vietnam for the French Ministry of Finance. He holds a B.A. in political science and an M.A. in economic demography from Sciences Po Paris, an M.A. in international affairs from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in demography from UC Berkeley. He is also a political cartoonist for various media.

Emmanuel Nnadozie

Emmanuel Nnadozie is the director of the economic development and NEPAD division at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. He was the former senior economist and chief of the United Nations Coordination Unit for AU/NEPAD support and focal point for the African peer review mechanism at ECA. Nnandozie previously served as chief planning officer at the World Bank's Agricultural Development Program in northern Nigeria.

Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai

Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai is a human rights lawyer in Sierra Leone. He is the founder and executive director of the Society for Democratic Initiatives, a non-governmental organization that aims to promote, protect, and enhance democracy, human rights and the rule of law. Abdulai served as a legal adviser on international humanitarian law for the International Criminal Tribunal and was chairman of Sierra Leone Freedom of Information, a network of civil society organizations working on access to information law.

Emmanuella Amoako is a pediatrician at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital and a part-time lecturer with the University of Cape Coast’s School of Medical Sciences. She is a strong advocate for child health and also volunteers with Operation Smile.
