Recognized as a leading expert on NCDs, Katie has served on the WHO Independent High-Level Commission on NCDs, The Lancet Commission on NCDIs of the Poorest Billion, The Lancet Commission on Global Oral Health, and The Rockefeller-Boston University 3-D Commission.

Katie Turner is global research and advocacy adviser on volunteering for development at VSO International. She is responsible for the Valuing Volunteering project, a two year action research project being conducted by VSO and the Institute of Development Studies that explores how, where and when volunteering affects poverty and contributes to sustainable development.

Katja Iversen

Katja Iversen is an executive adviser, author, and advocate for global health, gender equality, sustainability, and purpose driven leadership. She is an adviser to the WEF, the U.N., and to world and corporate leaders. She is also an internationally recognized expert on development, advocacy, and communications. Previously, she held the position as president and CEO at Women Deliver; trained Fortune 500 executive in cross cultural management; was chief of strategic communication and public advocacy with UNICEF; and worked in advocacy and communication with UNFPA, FAO, and various NGOs.

Katja Silva-Leander

Katja Silva-Leander is the director of development finance and investment at DAI and focuses on mobilizing private capital into low- and middle-income countries to overcome the funding gap and achieve the SDGs by 2030. She has 20 years of experience working in investment banking, as well as for a range of donors, including the FCDO, the U.N. and the World Bank. Previously, she headed up DAI’s economic growth practice in the U.K., where she oversaw a portfolio of work focusing on entrepreneurship, business environment reform and financial inclusion.

Katri Bertram is a global health consultant with 20 years of work experience in building international health and development partnerships. She specializes in government relations and stakeholder engagement. Bertram lives in Berlin, Germany, and is a mom of four children.
Katrina Kosec

Katrina Kosec

Katrina Kosec is a senior research fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit at the International Food Policy Research Institute, where she leads a CGIAR research program on fragility, conflict, and migration as well as a cluster of research on women’s voice and agency in governance. She is also a lecturer in political economy at Johns Hopkins University. Katrina’s research focuses on the linkages between governance, fragility, gender, and poverty. She has over two decades of experience carrying out surveys and field experiments and working with various local partners and international agencies.

Her writing focuses on international development and sustainability, with a particular interest in environmental psychology and its impact on our relationship with the planet. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Warwick University, Katrina offers a unique perspective on global issues and the role of human behavior in creating sustainable solutions. She has also worked as a graphic designer, including as a report illustrator for the United Nations.

Katy Hartley is heading the Philips Foundation, which is a registered charity aimed at bringing innovation to those most in need. She joined Philips in 2007 and was responsible for creating and managing The Philips Center for Health & Well-being. She also started up Philips' ongoing partnership with the World Economic Forum. Prior to joining Philips, Katy worked at Royal Dutch Telecom between 2002-2007, eventually heading the consumer division’s communications team for the Dutch-based company.
