Dr. Lailai Li is the China country director for WRI China. Dr. Li serves as the lead representative for WRI China and is responsible for formulating, leading, and implementing WRI’s vision and strategy in China.

She is directly responsible for the leadership and management of the Bureau for Intergovernmental Support, UN System Coordination and Strategic Partnerships, and was the acting head of UN Women from March to August 2013.

Dr. Lance Gordon, director for neglected infectious diseases in the global health program of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, leads the effort to reduce the burden of selected infectious diseases on the world’s poorest people through effective control, elimination or eradication.

Lant Pritchett is a fellow at the Center for Global Development and is research director of the RISE program at Oxford. He worked for the World Bank from 1988 to 2007, including two years living in Indonesia.

Lara Aluko is a policy and program analyst with a focus on international development. Through policy development and program management, she has supported education intervention, economic empowerment, and peace-building programs in Africa and North America.

Lara Dahan is program and partnerships manager at the Global Institute for Disease Elimination, a new global health institute focused on accelerating the elimination of malaria, polio, lymphatic filariasis, and onchocerciasis.

Lara Merling is a New York-based policy-oriented economist. Lara’s research focuses on the role of money, the international financial architecture, and the intersection between policy space and where countries are situated within an observed global currency hierarchy.

Lara Schibelsky Godoy Piccolo is a human-computer interaction researcher exploring the potential of technology to influence positive changes in communities. She has worked on technology design with a sociotechnical approach, involving communities in participatory activities. She obtained her Ph.D. in 2015 at the Institute of Computing at the State University of Campinas in Brazil. As a research associate at the Knowledge Media Institute of the Open University in the U.K., she is investigating engagement with social issues by means of social technologies.

Larai Hajara Shuaibu, a Nigeria national, is the executive director of the World Bank Group Board of Executive Directors representing Angola, Nigeria, and South Africa since October 2019. Her areas of expertise include people and stakeholder management, project management, fiscal and tax policy administration, public finance management, and public private partnerships.
