Peter Gubbels

Peter Gubbels is the director of action learning and advocacy for West Africa at Groundswell International, a global partnership that strengthens rural communities to build healthy farming and food systems from the ground up. His 34-year career has been dedicated to strengthening the leadership and organization of rural communities to meet basic needs and improving the well-being of families. Born in Ontario, Canada, and raised on a farm, Peter has now been based in West Africa for more than 23 years and currently resides in Northern Ghana.

Peter Lamptey

Peter Lamptey is a professor of noncommunicable diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and serves on the Global Advisory Group for the LSHTM Centre for Global Chronic Conditions. He is president emeritus/distinguished scientist at FHI360. He is an internationally recognized public health physician and expert in communicable and noncommunicable diseases in low- and middle-income countries. With a career at FHI360 spanning more than 35 years, Peter has been instrumental in establishing FHI360 as one of the world’s leading INGOs in implementing HIV/AIDS programs.

Peter Laugharn serves as president and CEO of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. Laugharn has 25 years of foundation and nonprofit experience internationally, with a focus on improving the well-being of vulnerable children. Laugharn holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of London. He was a co-founder of the International Education Funders Group and the Coalition for Children Affected by AIDS, and he serves on the boards of the Council on Foundations and the Pacific Council for International Policy.
Peter Lilley

Peter Lilley is co-chair of Trade Out of Poverty and current British MP. Before being elected to Parliament in 1983, Lilley worked as an economic consultant focused on aid and development programs in Africa and Asia, and chaired the U.K. Conservative Party’s Global Poverty Policy Commission advised by Bob Geldof. He is also a former secretary of state for Trade and Industry.

In this position, his priorities include strengthening humanitarian diplomacy, engaging states and other actors for the respect of international humanitarian law, and improving the humanitarian response through innovation and new partnerships. He previously served as secretary of state of the Swiss Department of Foreign Affairs and ambassador of Switzerland to the U.N. in New York.

Peter Rundlet

As vice president of AARP International, Peter Rundlet develops and executes AARP's international strategy to position AARP as the global thought leader on aging. Before joining AARP, Rundlet was the director of international strategy for the Obama Foundation, and he previously served as deputy staff secretary to former U.S. President Barack Obama. Previously, Rundlet was vice president for international policy at the Center for American Progress, and he was counsel on the 9/11 Commission and associate counsel to former President Bill Clinton. Rundlet was also an attorney for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras.
