Rachael Knight

Rachael Knight is the director of Namati’s Community Land Protection Program. She is an attorney with expertise in the areas of land tenure security, access to justice, and legal empowerment of the poor. She previously served as director of the International Development Law Organization’s (IDLO) Community Land Titling Initiative, working to document and protect the customary land rights of indigenous groups in Uganda, Liberia and Mozambique.

Rachel Albone

Rachel Albone

Rachel Albone is HIV policy adviser for HelpAge International. She is also co-founder of the Caregivers Action Network, a global advocacy network calling for the full recognition and support of community caregivers. Prior to joining HelpAge in 2008, Albone worked as a consultant undertaking projects for DfID, UNAIDS, the Dutch government and various international NGOs.
Rachel Bezner Kerr

Rachel Bezner Kerr

Rachel Bezner Kerr is a professor in global development at Cornell University. She does participatory research in Africa on agroecology, gender, climate change adaptation, food, and nutrition security. She has published over 70 scientific articles in The Journal of Nutrition; Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences; and Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment, among others. She is a coordinating lead author for a chapter of an upcoming report on climate change impacts, vulnerabilities, and adaptation by an Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change working group. She was a co-author of a report on agroecology for the United Nations Committee on World Food Security.

Rachel Biderman

Rachel is the director for World Resources Institute Brasil. In her current role, she worked to launch WRI Brasil as a nationally recognized NGO in 2014, raising funds, recruiting a team of six professional, creating an internationally recognized board, and establishing WRI Brasil’s four programs: climate change, sustainable cities, forests and sustainable finance. Rachel is considered a key mover and shaker in climate change throughout Brazil.

Rachel Blum is an independent consultant with over 20 years of experience specializing in youth-inclusive economic growth in low- and middle-income countries. She currently works with Education Development Center as a senior technical adviser, where she leads research on youth systems change and the scaling of youth employment outcomes. She previously worked at USAID as a leading technical focal point for youth employment and workforce development.

Rachel Clement

Rachel Clement is a policy associate at the International Center for Research on Women. She is a co-chair of Girls Not Brides USA and on the Steering Committee of the Coalition for Adolescent Girls. She has worked in Austria, Costa Rica, Ecuador, the Philippines, Russia and Vietnam with and for youth, primarily on gender issues. Rachel earned her M.A. from George Washington University and in International Development and her B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Sociology and Spanish.

Rachel Deussom is the technical director of the HRH2030 program at Chemonics. She is a health workforce expert with 17 years of experience focusing on health systems, community health, digital health, HIV, and maternal health. Ms. Deussom has provided technical and operations support across Africa and Asia, contributing to USAID, World Bank, and Gates-funded initiatives.

Rachel Firth

Rachel Firth is the founder of Women in Dev, an international development conference taking place in London on March 5, 2020. She is the managing director of Global Office Consulting, which works predominantly with women-led or gender-focused development organizations and initiatives. She has been involved in policy formation for global health initiatives in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals, supported in the development of national strategies for maternal and child health, and delivered advocacy and programmatic work in health, education, and gender equality globally.
