Bhargava, an expert on political risk, frequently addresses policymakers, NGO executives and staff and legal and security professionals on geopolitical trends and risk management.

Sofia Hilali

Sofia Hilali is an emerging markets analyst at AMGlobal consulting. Prior to joining AMGlobal, Sofia has worked for Orange Business Services at their headquarters in Paris, France. Sofia has also worked for a marketing research startup Eigenvalue as a research analyst and for Orange affiliate Meditel as a go-to-market executive located at Casablanca, Morocco.

Sofia Palli

Sofia Palli, a Devex fellow in the summer of 2008, has worked as a research associate for inter-governmental agencies (UNDP, IFAD) and NGOs in Indonesia, Vietnam and Greece. She served as an affiliated M.A. student at the Nordic Institute of Asian Studies, researching aid effectiveness. Sofia holds a bachelor’s in political science from National University of Athens and a master’s in international development and management from Lund University, Sweden. She is fluent in Greek and English and speaks French, German and Swedish.

Sofía Monsalve Suárez

Sofía Monsalve Suárez is the secretary general of FIAN International, a human rights organization working for the right to food and nutrition. Before becoming the secretary general in 2016, she coordinated FIAN’s program on land and natural resources for more than 15 years. This work included field research visits and fact-finding missions to 20 countries. She has extensive advocacy experience in the UN human rights system, FAO, and the U.N. Committee on World Food Security contributing to the development of human rights standard setting. She is a member of the International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems.

Sohail Hasnie is a principal energy specialist with the Asian Development Bank. A firm believer that the solution to climate change lies in new technology, he has applied new technology to ADB projects in several Asian countries. Before joining ADB, Sohail worked for the state power utility and independent regulator in Melbourne, Australia.

Sohara Mehroze Shachi is one of the winners of the GCCA Climate Tracker Adopt a Negotiator Fellowship for COP21. She has written extensively on climate change for various publications including DW, OpenDemocracy, IPS and Huffington Post. She is a graduate of Yale University, currently working as a development professional in Bangladesh on climate change, environment and disaster management.

Sonali Johnson

Sonali Johnson is head of knowledge, advocacy, and policy at UICC. Her main area of work is to ensure that cancer prevention, treatment, and care are positioned within the global health and development agenda, including plans for universal health coverage. During her professional career, Johnson has worked on a range of public health issues including cancer control, gender and HIV/AIDS, reproductive and sexual health, gender-based violence, knowledge translation, research ethics, and health and human rights. In addition, she served twice as a member of the Ethics Review Committee of the World Health Organization.
