Prior to his private sector agribusiness work, he also worked as a senior researcher and head of the entomology department for the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research.

Wale Osofisan is senior director for the governance technical unit at the International Rescue Committee. In this role, he leads the unit’s team of senior and technical advisers and specialists, overseeing program support to over 30 IRC country offices. Wale has two decades of professional experience researching and working on humanitarian, development, conflict prevention, and peacebuilding issues.

Walter Cotte is under secretary general of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Walter has more than 40 years of humanitarian and development experience. Previously, Mr. Cotte was the National Executive Director of the Colombian Red Cross from 2008 to 2012. His past leadership roles with the organization include head of operations and disaster management, and as head of volunteers for relief and search and rescue.

Walter T. Gwenigale is the minister of health and social welfare of the Republic of Liberia. A practicing surgeon for more than 30 years, he has served as Bong County health officer, director of Phebe Hospital and president of the Christian Health Association of Liberia. He also served on the World Health Organization’s executive board and as a board member of the Roll Back Malaria campaign.
