The Inter-American Development Bank will fund a USD34 million program seeking to expand irrigation infrastructure in Bolivia. The program will help construct 33 community irrigation systems using a watershed approach to allow for a sustainable water quantity and quality and increase the institutional capacity of Bolivia’s National Irrigation Service in awarding and registering water rights as well as resolving conflicts among users.
