Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has declared his assets, including his monthly salary of 4.6 million Cambodian riels ($1,150), to the country’s anti-corruption agency and urged civil servants to follow suit and meet a legally mandated April 7 deadline to declare their assets. The mandatory declaration is part of an anti-corruption law that was adopted in 2010 in a bid to address rampant corruption in the country, The Associated Press says. Civil servants who fail to meet the deadline could face up to one year in jail and pay up to 2 million riels in fines.
