Sean Carroll will join the U.S. Agency for International Development next week as Administrator Rajiv Shah’s new chief of staff. Carroll’s portfolio will include managing interagency issues, external and internal communications and core operational priorities.
Carroll will be a great asset to USAID due to his “breadth of global experience in development, government, politics and policy,” Shah noted in a statement.
Carroll was until recently the program director of the Club of Madrid, an international organization of more than 70 former heads of state and government.
