Chinese development assistance has helped Pakistan develop its port infrastructure in the Balochistan province, paving the way for trade access between the two countries, Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said Feb. 9. Gilani said China’s contributions to Pakistan’s maritime sector would stimulate trading and business in Balochistan as port development would compliment land trade across the province and western China, Pakistan Daily reports.
