Aid groups are getting worried about the amount of money being poured into Haiti from the U.S. disaster assistance program, according to the Washington Post. At the moment, Haiti relief spending is eating more than half of the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance’s annual budget worth USD845 million. U.S. Agency for International Development officials has denied allegations of funding cutbacks, asserting that no decision has been made on the issue. Any reduction would depend on the replenishment of the disaster fund, a matter requiring congressional approval.
