Cuba Calls for Improved Campaign Against Global Hunger

Cuba is urging the international community to improve efforts in providing food and shelter to the world’s poor, according to Prensa Latina, as quoted by Indo-Asian News Service.

“Collaboration on the issue of food for poor should be the responsibility of the international community, mainly the industrialised nations,” Cuban diplomat Juan Quintanilla said at the sidelines of the 13th session of the United Nations Human Rights Commission, where Cuba is due to present a document on mitigating hunger.
