Donor Raises USD1.47M for SE Asian Disaster Victims

The U.K. Disasters Emergency Committee has gathered 1 million pounds (USD1.47 million) in donations for typhoon and earthquake victims in the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia within 24 hours of its appeal,

reports. The funds helped support the operation of 13 U.K. aid agencies working in the disaster-hit countries.
