The U.K. Department for International Development, the European Union, the World Bank’s International Development Association and Denmark have signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ghanaian government on improving the African nation’s financial management.
The project will support the financing and implementation of Ghana’s integrated financial and information system, which aims to improve the country’s fiscal discipline.
The project seeks to ensure transparent use of funding by government agencies, ministries and departments, and municipal and district assemblies, according to Public Agenda, which is sponsored by Ghanaian non-governmental organization Integrated Social Development Center.
