Australia, the International Finance Corp., and the International Trade Center are sponsoring a three-day workshop to help enhance business skills of women in the Pacific and East Timor. The workshop in Vanuatu begins March 15.
“Pacific business women make an invaluable contribution to their economy, and play an important role in improving the lives of their families and communities,” said Bob McMullan, Australian parliamentary secretary for international development assistance, in a statement.
The event will also feature the launching of a new report highlighting stories of women business leaders in seven Pacific nations. Report findings aim to inform efforts to improve policies and programs to guarantee that women gain access to the same economic opportunities as men.
