The International Monetary Fund blocked the release of the last $40 million installment under a three-year program for Congo, citing the country’s “extreme slowness in the achievement of goals and the implementation of structural reforms.” Central bank governor Jean-Claude Masangu made the disclosure during a news conference in Kinshasa.
