, will release some 34.5 million euros ($48 million) in grants to bolster energy efficiency in Bulgaria. Of the sum, 19.5 million euros will be used to install dewatering systems and build a cooling pump station in the Maritza East 2 thermal power plant. Mini Maritza Iztok EAD will receive the remaining 15 million euros to make its mining operations more energy-efficient.
