Adjara, an autonomous republic in Georgia, will build a solid waste disposal facility with the help of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, the Messenger Online reports. EBRD will provide a 3 million euro (USD4.1 million) loan and SIDA a 4 million euro grant for the construction of a landfill site with recycling and sorting facilities near three of Adjara’s largest municipalities.
