    Ethiopia and Kenya made a

    to the World Bank for a USD380 million project to interconnect their electricity grids, Afrik.com reports. The bank is set to discuss this proposal in September 2010. Ethiopia has also made another request for USD50 million funding assistance for the construction of a water power plant that will increase the country's hydroelectric capacity.
