EU Promises Faster Aid Delivery

The European Union pledged to speed up delivery of previously earmarked aid to developing nations,

reported. This year, the bloc is "front-loading" EUR4.3 billion (USD5.7 billion), including EUR3 billion in budget support for African, Pacific and Caribbean nations; at least EUR500 million for local welfare programs; and EUR800 million to ease global hunger.
