The European Union is promoting the use of sectorwide approach, or SWAp, to help develop Ghana’s water and sanitation sector, Public Agenda reports. The use of SWAp will not only leverage more funding but also increase the impact of investments made in a specific sector, said Kurt Cornelis, head of cooperation at the European Union delegation to Ghana. He added that the bloc intends to increase the amount of aid that it currently channels through SWAp.
