U.S. Agency for International Development Administrator Rajiv Shah will unveil this week the guiding document for the implementation of Feed the Future, a senior USAID official said.
Feed the Future Guide includes detailed principles and goals of the implementation strategy for the U.S. global food security program, according to William Garvelink, USAID deputy coordinator for development for the initiative.
“In the coming months, we will continue our work with countries and on diversifying the funding base to reflect growing engagement in foreign assistance,” he was quoted on USAID’s blog.
The program, Garvelink stressed, aims to help poor countries develop food security investment plans.
“Already we are seeing countries like Rwanda, Bangladesh, and Ghana host multi-stakeholder consultation meetings that review and align resources towards their plans,” he added.
