Former U.S. President George W. Bush visited Haiti Aug. 10 to observe ongoing reconstruction efforts in the country and meet with survivors of the January earthquake.

The trip is part of Bush’s work with the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, which he and fellow former U.S. President Bill Clinton lead. Bush also reportedly met with organizations in Haiti who are being supported by the fund, news reports say.

The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund focuses on supporting long-term reconstruction projects, particularly those targeted toward promoting economic opportunities and creating jobs for earthquake survivors.
