The German Agency for Technical Cooperation has allocated a further 10 million euros (USD13 million) to expand its regional climate change initiative in the Pacific.
The expanded program now includes the Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, the Solomon Islands and Tuvalu. It has also extended its focus to land-based natural resources, marine resources, tourism, and sustainable energy.
The total German contribution to the program is now 14.2 million euros, the Solomon Star reports.
