The German and Dutch governments have signed an agreement to work together to promote good governance, the rule of law and democracy in Afghanistan.
The deal also targets improved collaboration between the Afghan police, civil society and law community.
The Netherlands has agreed to contribute €6.2 million ($8.9 million) to the initiative, according to a news release from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
