Ghana needs between USD200 million and USD300 million each year to improve its sanitation services, according to Alban Bagbin, the country’s minister of water resources, works and housing. Funding shortfalls are hampering Ghana’s progress toward achieving the Millennium Development Goal on sanitation, Bagbin said.
