Gloria Steele Takes Helm of USAID Philippine Mission

Gloria D. Steele has sworn in as the new director for the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Philippine mission.

Prior to this post, Steele was senior deputy assistant administrator in charge of USAID’s Global Health Bureau. She also worked for the agency’s bureaus for science and technology and for Africa and Europe and Eurasia.

Steele has a master’s degree in agricultural economics from Kansas State University, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Maryknoll College in the Philippines.
