The European Union has denied allegations of Austria’s finance minister, Josef Proell, that the bloc had delayed the payment of a third tranche of aid to Greece. Eurozone finance ministers have urged Greece to reduce spending to meet its budget deficit reduction targets, which are part of the EU and International Monetary Fund’s euro110 billion (USD149 billion) bailout program for the country, News Center reports.
