Protests sparked by the spreading cholera epidemic in Haiti have reached several parts of the country’s capital city, Port-au-Prince. BBC reports that clashes between Haitians and U.N. troops in the northern part of the city have left at least two people dead. Some Haitians have been taking to the streets in various parts of the country to protest against the deployment of U.N. peacekeepers from Nepal to the quake-ravaged Caribbean nation. Haitians blame the said peacekeepers for bringing cholera into the country. The U.N. has denied the accusation, BBC says.
