How traditional aid groups can do business with IFC

The International Finance Corp. works with private companies to boost economic growth and reduce poverty in developing countries. But it also partners with nongovernmental organizations and development consultancies, particularly on capacity-building programs, said Imoni Akpofure, IFC’s director for Western Europe.

Akpofure spoke with Devex Editor Rolf Rosenkranz on the margins of the 2012 European Development Days. She discussed the different avenues for traditional aid groups to work with IFC and where to find information on these opportunities.

Watch the conversation between Rosenkranz and Akpofure on what IFC is doing to promote inclusive business, the types of private companies it collaborates with and its priority sectors, part of a series of conversations we video-taped with global development leaders in the center of the action at last week’s EDD.
