    The

    is helping Haiti prevent flooding and boost sustainable agricultural development. The Caribbean nation may access a $30 million IDB grant to back public works in the Grande Riviere du Nord, Ravine du Sud and Cavaillon watersheds. The grant will also help provide direct support to farmers adhering to erosion control farming practices, as well as finance technical assistance, training and materials for municipalities and organizations responsible for watershed management.
