Honduras has secured a USD30 million Inter-American Development Bank loan to modernize public transportation in the country’s Central District, which includes the cities of Tegucigalpa and Comayagüela. The project will introduce a bus rapid transit scheme, which aims to link outlying areas to districts that generate services and jobs.
