The Inter-American Development Bank will partner with Fundacion FEMSA and the Tecnologico de Monterrey to establish the Latin American and Caribbean Water Center. It will initially give USD11 million to the project. Tecnologico de Monterrey will manage the center, which will provide training, research and information management for the conservation and sustainable use of water, encourage strategic alliances, and promote innovative approaches to problems in the water and sanitation sectors.
