The International Fund for Agricultural Development is lending USD52 million to support vegetable oil production in Uganda.
The project aims to increase the volume of oilseed crushing material produced by smallholder farmers. It also seeks to consolidate direct linkages with processors to ensure the supply of vegetable oil and its by-products to Ugandan consumers.
The program will target 43 districts in Lira, eastern Uganda, Gulu and West Nile.
