The International Monetary Fund is ready to disburse $21.2 million in loan to Nepal following the completion of the second and third reviews of the country’s economic performance. “Nepal’s Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper provides a sound basis for achieving higher growth,” IMF Deputy Managing Director Takatoshi Kato said. In all, the fund has issued $42.5 million under a three-year Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility arrangement between the government and the agency.
