Aid is on its way to flood-hit Yangdok and other cities in North Korea, according to Pyongyang’s state TV. “Aid goods, including cement and steel are coming from different regions, which are trying to help people in flood-hit regions,” said the report as quoted by South Korea’s Yonhap news agency. The remarks came just days after the North Korean government declined offers of foreign help. The state television also said that the government has repaired damaged railways, which have now restarted services on 45 routes. (Source: North Korea promises foreign aid/Reuters)
