Western countries, including the U.S., that are seeking to restart multifaceted talks with Iran should adequately address the country’s questions to prove their commitments to planned negotiations, said Mojtaba Samareh-Hashemi, Iran’s top presidential advisor, according to Press TV. Samareh-Hashemi explained that Iran wants answers on three issues: the basis of the talks, the countries’ view of the “Zionist regime’s” atomic weapons, and their stance on the latest ratifications of the nonproliferation treaty.
“If they do not state any response on these questions, it means they have not chosen the path of friendship. Not answering these questions means they have decided not to commit to nuclear disarmament, while supporting the Zionist regime being armed with nuclear weapons,” the adviser said, according to Press TV.
Meanwhile, the European Parliament has issued a written declaration urging the U.S. to remove Iran from its foreign terrorists organizations’ list, The Wall Street Journal reports.
