Jeannine Scott, Africare’s senior vice president, will vacate her position and move to the private sector March 21, according to a statement from the organization. Scott has been with Africare for seven years, during which she managed more than 200 projects in 23 countries. Scott also initiated the establishment of Africare offices in Canada and France and led various initiatives that increased the organization’s funding to USD80 million in 2009.
Africare President Darius Mans noted: “She leaves an endearing legacy at Africare for having helped engender the sense of family which underpins Africare’s heritage, culture and success to-date.”
