Jordan Unveils USAID-Backed Fiscal Reform Scheme

Jordan has launched a fiscal reform project that is financed by the U.S. Agency for International Development, The Jordan Times reports. The U.S.-based DAI/Nathan Group will implement the five-year program to improve the nation’s fiscal policy and public financial management. The USD38.5 million project forms part of USAID’s technical assistance for Jordan, which seeks to promote capacity building in tax and customs administration, public financial management, economic policy analysis, customs and trade facilitation, and results-oriented government.
