Kris Balderston was sworn in Feb. 17 as the U.S. special representative for global partnership. His priorities, he says, are working on the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, encouraging the diaspora to invest in their home countries, and supporting strategies identified by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Balderston is in charge of the Global Partnership Initiative within Clinton’s office. His chief responsibility will be to promote the creation of more public-private partnerships at the global level.
