Host: Kate Wathen, Devex engagement editor

This week, a high-energy gathering of social entrepreneurs, investors, and activists descended upon Oxford to discuss how to tackle some of the world’s most pressing issues. This year's theme — the power of proximity — explored how becoming proximate to people and challenges can bring about understanding, empathy, and innovative solutions.

In the midst of the meetings, workshops, and networking, we took a few minutes to take our audience inside the Skoll World Forum and gain perspective from Camfed Africa Executive Director Angeline Murimirwa about the meaning of proximity and power — and how they translate into development donorship.
