Malawi expects a continued - if not increased - flow of aid from the new U.K. coalition government led by Prime Minister David Cameron. The British government is Malawi’s largest bilateral development partner, Nyasa Times reports.
“As government we expect the usual flow of British aid to Malawi. [The] British government has given substantive amount of aid to this country and we expect more,” Malawian Deputy Minister in the Office of the President and Cabinet Nicholas Dausi told Capital Radio.
The U.K. has supported education, infrastructure development, health, financial prudence and capacity building projects in Malawi, Dausi said.
