The European Union has committed 13.15 million euros (USD17 million) to help pave rural feeder roads in Malawi’s southern region, Nyasa Times reports. Six contracts worth 4.13 million euros have been signed with small and medium-sized Malawian contractors to implement road works including graveling of short-sections, improving drainage facilities, and repairing and replacing bridges.
