Moldova’s Democratic Party, which claimed victory in November’s general election, is joining two centrist parties to form a pro-European Union coalition. The new Alliance for European Integration brings together Liberal Democrats and Liberals and is seen to prevent the opposition Communist Party from securing a majority in parliament, EUobserver reports.
