Morocco Wins German Energy Aid

Germany has pledged euro40 million (USD54 million) to help Morocco develop renewable energy sources.

“We welcome the efforts of the Moroccan government in the promotion of renewable energies. With this endeavour, this country is readying its economy and infrastructure for the future,” German Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle said in a statement.

The German government said it will provide an additional euro3 million to support Morocco’s solar plan.
