The administration of new Honduran President Porfirio Lobo hopes to forge an agreement with the International Monetary Fund, Xinhua reports. The move will allow the country to receive loans and access aid from other lenders such as the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank. Both discontinued assistance to Honduras following the June 2009 coup that ousted former leader Manuel Zelaya.
