President Daniel Ortega is running for a new term in office, ignoring his opponent’s complaints that his candidacy is against the country’s constitution. Ortega said his vice presidential canditate will be Gen. Omar Halleslevens, a former army chief, according to The Associated Press. Nicaragua’s presidential elections will be held Nov. 6.
